South America.....
So it now has been 2 weeks, I think
I have no idea what day or day of the week it is. I love that feeling.
So what has happened lately....the last few days at work were basically spent counting down the days, and smoking a lot, and bitching about criminal fat Paul, and such...
The bastards even made us wait until the last minute Friday at noon for our paycheques.
Of course the reference letters never came, we did prepare for that, and now have a good collection of FHA stationary and a signature stamp. Should be enough for a really good letter.
Anyway, enough about that.
The flight over went really good, flying first class really does help, and with a 5 hour delay at Sao Paulo, I will be demanding compensation, so hopefully a big chunk of the trip will be compensated in vouchers.
Rio was an absolutely amazing city, spent a few really good days there. The group of people is not as good as my other tours, but with only 10 of us, split evenly, its not that bad.
Tucan trucks are very well equipped, but the tour leader is useless.
Also everyone has kinda been on edge, since the first two weeks were almost all camping, and there were a few really long drive days.
We are now in Salta in northern Argentina, heading into the mountains soon in Bolivia and Peru
