Senior Software Developer JAVA/C++
INTRODUCTION: Oracle Essbase is an OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) Server that provides an environment for deploying pre-packaged applications or developing custom analytic and enterprise performance management applications. Oracle Essbase, along with Oracle BI Suite Enterprise Edition Plus, is part of the Oracle BI Foundation. With a rapid application development environment, Oracle Essbase enables business users to quickly model complex business scenarios. Aside from its high scalability, a key strength of Oracle Essbase lies in its ability to allow users to "write back" to an application's data repository under security. This makes it ideal for developing forward looking applications such as forecasting, scenario modeling, and "what if" type analysis.
DESCRIPTION: As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the product development cycle. You will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, implementation and initial testing of relevant modules.
As part of Essbase team you will work in a non-routine international environment, applying advanced technical/business skills. You will be a leading contributor both as an individual and as a team member. You will be making technical decisions, providing directions and mentoring other team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science is required
• At least 5+ years of Java software development experience
• Experience with C, C++ is an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver software products
• Experience with J2SE, J2EE technologies, such as JPA is a strong plus
•Knowledge’s about Java community innovations
• Experience with J2EE containers, such as Web Logic
• Experience with server code development in an enterprise software company
• Thorough knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and in particular server side concepts (deadlock issues, multi-threaded programming, caching techniques)
• Experience with performance profiling, analysis, optimization, analysis and tuning of memory usages
• Experience with multi-threaded programming and debugging techniques
• Experience with BI and OLAP technologies or with Essbase and OBIEE products, is a strong plus
