The LaviYu Fest 2010 Schedule and Planning!
Greetings, LaviYu fans!
As you can see, the Festival account is now open!
Today is the last day of February, and just about time to get the planning seriously kicking! After some discussions and some great ideas by fellow fans, we decided that the general schedule of LaviYu Fest'10 is going to look like this:

June 6th: Kanda's Birthday + Opening.
You can submit anything you have been planning for Kanda's birthday, including non-pairing stuff if you prefer; however works that include LaviYu are encouraged as well! If you're making something LaviYu for this date, including mentions of the festival opening would be great. This doesn't really require any planning, so there will be no special post for it.
June 7th-13th: Contest week.
Originally planned as fanfiction week, in the end we decided not to turn this into fanfiction writers' event since it would put too much strain on our said group. Instead, on June 7th, the contest's post in here will include several D.Gray-Man panels which you will be free to work with in either of two categories: 1) colouring contest (you will have to colour the given panel, that requires a bit of graphics making skills but not too much), or 2) speechbubble edit contest (you will have to edit speechbubbles, and only the contains will be judged - you can do it with MS Paint if you want, point is, it has to be lolsome!). From June 13th on, three to five judges (who will not participate in the contest, of course) will decide one winner out of each category. The prize will be a piece of fiction; mugen_edamame and tossino has agreed to write a 100 - 5000 words drabble or fic according to the colouring and editing contests' winners' requests.
July 8th: LaviYu day.
As last year, this is the axis of the whole event. This is the day when all kinds of work are posted: fanart, fanfiction, graphics, edits, screenshots, colourings, icons, finger puppets, cosplay photos, and anything you can think of. (Also, spamming the kinkmeme with LaviYu requests is very welcomed!) GO WILD WITH LAVIYU LOVE!
August 3rd-9th: kinkmeme week.
This will have a post up way before the actual starting date, since it will need a little bit of planning. Unfilled kinkmeme requests will be listed in this post, of course multiple fills are also welcomed. At least one new fill must be posted every day, so signing up will probably start before the actual festival starts - the post will be here in this community as well. Note that not only porn fanfiction is welcomed this week, but also anything 'non work safe', be it fanarts, NC doujinshi colorings or whatnot.
August 10th: Lavi's Birthday + closing.
You can submit anything you have been planning for Lavi's birthday, including non-pairing stuff if you prefer; however works that include LaviYu are encouraged as well! If you're making something LaviYu for this date, including mentions of the festival closing would be great. This doesn't really require any planning, so there will be no special post for it.

Note: SHARING SUBMISSIONS. In here, as well as the general D.Gray-Man community, there will be Fest Submissions post, as soon as the fest starts (possibly a day early, just in case). The post in here will also list the sites that you should post your work on, however you can both post it on more sites if you know any (for example you know a fandom site that is not listed - well go for it), or, if you don't have needed accounts or etc, on less (for example LJ only). The list will be more like guidelines, for our event to be more noticeable.
On the submissions posts, you will have to share your work by leaving a comment with link to it, and it will be added into the post. Everywhere else (for example FFnet, the LaviYu and DGM yaoi comms, etc), you are free to make entries and otherwise share and promote it however you please.
