I had army duty this weekend. My LAST drill in the Army National Guard. It was HORRIBLE!!
First, I get there and our Armory was half burned down. So, we weren't allowed inside the building and ended up having to go down to the garage where the mechanics work. It was raining and cold, just plain miserable weather. Then, they made me take a flu shot. I mean, c'mon. I had one day left in the army and you're still going to force me to take a flu shot? That's plain dickish. Oh, and the shot made me sick. Instead of preventing me from getting the flu, i now have the flu. Maybe they did that on purpose. Like..."oh, you're not re-enlisting?? Here's a nice big dose of Influenza, BITCH!". Grrr. And then on sunday, my last day in the army i was chosen for random drug testing. I went six years in the national guard without ever having to pee in a cup and BAM! last day?? here ya go. I dont know if you have ever been drug tested for work, but in the army...they sit there and WATCH you pee in that cup. They have their faces all up in your business, making sure there is no possible way you can slip something in there or anything else to tamper with the results. You want to talk about stage fright...gosh. I have to go back up there again to turn in all of my gear since we weren't allowed in the building cause the fire released some asbestos. Haha, so it's not over yet. I'll go back up and they'll send me to iraq again or something. crazy. Yeah. So that was my weekend.
