mmmmm, sam wanted updates, so i'ma update. been working lots, though i'm currently broke, due to car insurance taking up an entire paycheque to itself, so i've been scraping together food and gas, but thankfully payday is tomorrow which is hopefully more substantial than the last one. in case anyone didn't know, instead of having the $750 a month from my dad through my aunt, $200 to each of rent and food(paid to my granmda who lives across the street, and i would just go over there) i told off my controlling aunt, which i should have done a long time ago, which i'm sure most of you know i did do, slowly over the summer, by ignoring her, which ticked her off more than just telling her off would do, so was fun.
so now i pay for all my own food rent and all other expenses with the money i make at iga, and any money from my dad goes into the bank for school. which is much better.
in case you couldn't infer from the prior paragraph, i have a car now, and drive it to work(almost forty hours a week) and to school(monday 9-1 am, and every other thursday 1-5 pm, for painting and english 100 respectively) at cap college in sechelt. carpool with bonnie and dominique, they just pay me whatever they would pay using the bus, which helps out with gas.
i hang out a lot with my cousin jeff, who is here on the coast doing an engineering thing for ubc at the mine in sechelt, so we play a lotta magic, and xbox(i beat him at crimson skies, and he beats me at halo)
WARNING:for those who don't play magic, don't bother reading the next little bit.
went to the time spiral pre release, played in the main event, went 2-2-0, so didn't win prizes with my UBr deck, which had teferi and deep sea kraken amongst other things. then jeff and i played in the two headed giant event, and we had a fuckload of slivers in blue/white, which was the aggro deck, and a couple more in the green black red deck, the control, which jeff played, and i played the first deck. the two games we won we absolutely dominated with slivers, due to the fact that nobody expected us to have so many, and hence didn't bother to remove them early on. at one point, i believe we had about 10 slivers out on the board, two of which were telekinetic slivers, which give "all slivers have "tap:tap target creature"
it was pretty brutal. but we didnt' do so well in out second and fourth games, so only went 2-2 again
played in an 8-man draft the next day, and beat two twelve year olds in the first two rounds, the first of which took three games that went forever, and the second one i won the first game quick, and then the kid conceded 3 turns into the second. then the other finalist asked me if i wanted to split prizes, so i got a guaranteed four booster packs, instead of 5 to winner, or 3 to loser.
other than that, been wanting to play lots of magic, but nobody but jeff to play with, so we get pretty bored. but things are looking up in the form of having found a guy in sechelt who has a playgroup, so we're going up there tomorrow after school and work respectively, and we'll see how that goes.
had most of the day off work today, got off at one, so came home, then went down to the cardshop in lower gibsons which is a joke, the guy has no idea about magic, then randomly went to the art room and hung out there doing two big sketches on large sheets of newsprint(blank, not printed newspaper),

steeves was happy to see me, and told me about weekly figure drawing class in grantham's landing, which i'll probably join, just pitch in for the model. then saw sam lyons at iga, and he reminded me about ultimate on wednesday nights, so jeff and i went up there and played, it was brutal cause i hadn't played all summer, so was very outta shape.
