Touch up paint

Nasty! I was well on track to finishing my 40 of Labatt when I poured the last of it into a glass of left over diet Dr. Pepper from last night. I took one sip of the innoculous looking beverage and nearly spit the connoction all over the place.

Yesterday was ridiculous. I left Ann Arbor around 2:00 to pick up my car from Widener's Collision in Riverview. I hopped on 94, but once I got to the Ypsi area, there were signs posted that said "2 left lanes closed." I continued in the middle lane until most of the drivers had gotten over into the right lane. I put my blinker on, but the Asian lady in the Toyota next to me wouldn't let me in. So I drove up a bit and cut in front of a truck. After that, traffic stopped. A few cars would pass in the left to lanes, at which time the truck driver behind me would stick his arm out the window and put his hand up in a 'What the fuck' fashion. In a bit, it would become evident what these drivers knew.

So, it was nearing 3:00. I'd been stuck in traffic for about an hour and had forgotten to go pee before I left. I was squirming in my seat, wondering if I should get out and go in the brush off the shoulder. Just then, I found a diet ice tea bottle in the back. So, I used it to my advantage, feeling a strange sense of accomplishment when I was done. After all, it was my first time peeing in a bottle while being the driver.

Back to the congestion on 94... It's 3:00 and the right lane is still stuck. Then, this mass of cars comes up in the left to lanes. When I see this happen, I quickly get in the middle lane and speed off. It turns out that the right lane was closed and they either didn't know right from left or had been very slow in changing the sign. Besides, why would they change the signs further from the lane closure when it would clearly be more efficient to change the ones in the front? I don't know, but it was clearly the stupidest construction management I have ever seen.

Before class today, I saw someone who I thought was my friend at Espresso Royale. He got in line and then walked by me twice and he clearly saw me. I smiled, but he didn't even say 'Hi' or acknowledge my presence. Oh well...

And, finally, some recent pictures...
