Which state was/is your favorite? New York, reminds me of summers in Fredonia when I was a kid and we would go break pieces of shale down by the creek.
You have two weeks alone (ALONE!) any place in the world. Where would you go? Beijing, China. I love that city and being there with no Americans who knew me would be sweet.
What would you do? Practice my Chinese, learn the subway/bus lines, try to meet some locals, drink a lot.

The Space Shuttle explosion: I remember they offered consoling at my high school if anyone needed it. When I heard that, I had to hold back a snicker. Not to make light of the matter.
O.J. Simpson’s Low Speed Chase: I remember watching this with my family in the basement. That Bronco was damn entertaining that night.
Princess Diana’s Death: I remember my mom woke me up to tell me about it ... was it like a Saturday morning. I don't really remember. But later that day, I remember Lorie, Janet's mom, talking about how much she admired Diana's fight against landmines. She was obviously taken by the news that day.
The Oklahoma City Bombing: I don't remember much about it, except the constant news coverage.
Do you remember watching the first "Live Aid"?: No. (How about some memories like 9/11 or the Columbine shooting... I'd actually be more interested in those.)
