A)
avatar_fans has
three The Last Airbender movie reviews up. They're all written by people who haven't watch the animated series before, so they're pretty objective.
1. Not surprised.
2. a little tiny bit Feeling majorly vindicated. 'We've chosen the child actors for their talent' SUCK THAT, CASTING DIRECTORS.
3. Very happy that the actor that played Iroh received positive response!
4. ...sad.
Between all the race!fail and everything, as an A:TLA fan, having a live-action movie adaptation created for the show was amazing. It's just pretty sad that it all comes up to all this.. crap. I mean, the animated series has SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. And seeing those reviews? I know they just watched the screener, but it's all very dissapointing. Again, not surprising, just dissapointing.
After reading the comments:
avatar_fans , stop with the negative attitude. Some people like to be positive. THAT'S OKAY. You don't have to crush them every five minutes or so. You don't like their opinion? IGNORE THEM.
B) Watched more Leverage.
-So I read some spoilers and found out that Sophie's not going to be in plenty of episodes due to her actress' pregnancy (BTW, they hid that pretty good, in the two-crew episode) and a new grifter is replacing her. And that made me very unsure whether I should keep watching, since the team dynamic is what I really love about the show.
-Then they introduced Tara.
-AND I LOVE HER. Plenty of reasons that I will shorten to: A) She's badass, and B) She's not Sophie, if you know what I mean.
-I love how the team keep calling Sophie. It's adorable. What I don't like is the stock footage that's always on the background in her videocalls.
-I think I might have a new OTP:
ADORABLE.
( also, Beth Riesgraf, is one gorgeous, gorgeous woman. That's how you rock your hair, Serena! Also, Quinn!)
C) Kicking off birthday celebration two weeks early (Thanks, dad!):
Sushi and Salmon Sashimi are two of my favorite things in this mortal world.
