Part of me is glad that it's over, because now I can actually move on with my life, haha. But the other part of me is heartbroken, because there will never be another show like LOST, ever again. This show was such a gem!

I know what you mean... I'm really glad that they didn't drag it out until no one cared and it got canceled without any fitting climax(see: Heroes). On the other hand, I'm really going to miss those people. And you're so right, the chances of us getting something that good, that smart, again is pretty much nil.

I'm writing this epically long reaction post to the finale, but in a nutshell, it made me both happy and sad and I think it was the best finale I've seen. This gif is the saddest thing I have ever seen. :( One of the things that made me saddest about the finale was that THAT was really the end of Locke's life and there was no other happy dimension (at least not exactly) and no chance of crossover or him coming back and I guess I kind of knew that for a long time...but now I really know and it was such a tragic end. The miracle of Lost is that they did this to my favorite character and I still like the show. :)

I know exactly what you mean! Particularly after "The Candidate," I was expecting some sort of... great but brutally painful Whedonesque finale. Instead I felt it was really uplifting and sort of beautiful and something I feel completely at peace with. It was just good.

But my problem is after 6 years of religiously waiting for and watching this show, I miss it/them so much already. Damn attachments to fictional people.
