Smackdown in Carbondale!
Lastnight I went with some of the old EIU (GAW crowd) to the Smackdownhouse show at SIU. I used to watch wrestling a lot, but only catch itoccasionally lately. I've been wanting to see it live and this was theperfect opportunity. There were a lot of new guys. The ones Iactually cared to see were: Kane, Chris Benoit, Booker T, Batista, anda few others. They were impressive in person and we had good seats. My pictures suck though.
Oneof the other things I looked forward to was watching the crowd. Ialways wondered about the crowd at a WWE event. I think I might havebeen dissaponted except for the fans that were right behind us. Theguy was the greatest. Here are some of the gems that came out of hismouth:
- (When his friends mock the Vampire wrestler) Oh, come on! Vampirism is a real religion! It's recognized by the government!
- (When some heavy metal song is played over the speakers) OhYEAH! This song makes me want to kill someone! I want to getviolent! When my wife left me I would just listen to this song overand over and imagine slamming her head into the pavement!
- (When his girlfriend points out that Batista's balls are showing)OH GOD! I am burning in Hell! My Eyes! I just saw Batista's taint! NOOO!
