OMG PUPP1ES!!!

Last night, I volunteered at a local dog rescue I support. (Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue - check em out! That's my dog on the front page!). They announced last week that they had a dog surrendered to them who was pregnant with ELEVEN puppies, and since it was so many and she was so young, they'd need round-the-clock supervision for the ( Read more... )

Puppehs are the cutest. While I'm a cat person (because you can give them food, water and a clean litter box and be gone all day, with dogs not so much), I am definitely a puppeh/kitteh person. They are opening a shelter within walking distance to my apartment and I already know I am so not allowed to go there because I will want to bring home all the kittehs and puppehs ( ... )

Yes, Matt's reading is wonderful, and I am here to say I wouldn't have stuck with the story had he not been doing it. It's not that I'm not "into" the scifi aspects of it, though i'll admit, I was surprised to see PAtterson writing such stuff ( I've only ever read his Alex Cross books). There are two things that are grating on my nerves ( ... )

The puppies are adorable. We have a litter of three black kittens who have decided to sleep under my bed.

I haven't listened to Toys yet. Only reason I'm going to is Matt Bomer. If you notice, this book is written by James Patterson and some other guy. Patterson works with a lot of new authors and helps them get published, so the book is probably only 10% Patterson.

Could be - seems reasonable. Though I notice 50% of the cover is taken up by Patterson's name... *snerk*

THREE KITTENS?!? That's so awewome. How big are they?

Of course, he is what sells the book so he will probably make most of the money.

They are about 5 weeks old now. Step kitty (bad name I know) brought them inside to eat. And she decided to stay inside. The buffet line is currently in front of my bedroom door. Well two are at lunch. The big male is asleep again. He's VERY good at napping.

Three is a small litter for us. We have a semi feral cat colony we feed and care for. Slowly getting them fixed but it takes time, money and traps.

PS - I'm SO not allowed to go to PetShmart on the weekends, because they have the cat rescue there and that's where we got this one.

Every time I go to the PetSmart here, I feel guilty that I'm not taking a cat home! On the other hand, Nicholas has been only cat for around 6 1/2 years now, and I don't know how he'd feel about a new arrival. Also, he has allergy issues, and IBD issues...so I'm not sure I want to take on another one right now. Still, I see them all, and they all have their own stories, and they all deserve homes.... Help me before I adopt another cat!

FYI, His Majesty is sitting on my lap as I type this.

*snerk* - his majesty. Wouldn't he more properly be addressed as "his imperial majesty"?

Everytime I go to PetSmart I end up spending too much time with teh kitties! My cat is a rescue.. Literally found her curled up on our porch 3years ago. Had to keep the bebeh. If I was able, I know I'd bring more home. Curse my weaknesses!

Muahahahaha!! Mine automatically assumes that all zipper pouches are treats! I had this bag of raisins once.. That was funny! She got all overly excited... Only to be sadly disappointed at what was really inside. She turned her nose up and scurried off rather fast!

Mine gets excited every time I use the can opener. Which is one thing if its tuna, but another if it's, say, sliced olives.
