Oh my God! They killed Kenny!
Thought I'd expound upon this week's Top Chef. Spoilers below the cut.
You know, I've been thinking for a couple of weeks that Kenny should've been out of the competition already. He really needs to learn how to edit himself. I don't think he's actually as strong as he seemed to be in the first couple weeks, so I don't get the ego that makes him assign himself as the one to topple Angelo. I'm rooting for Angelo anyway. I don't know why, bec I should be booing and hissing, but the guy cracks me up and his food looks good (except for the tuna last week - what was with all the sauce on sashimi-grade tuna - blech). Honestly, at this point only Angelo and maybe Kevin and Ed deserve to even be ON THE SHOW, much less the other ones. What a weak crew this season has seen.
So with this week's elimination, I will never accuse the producers of keeping a chef around for the drama of it, because they could've gotten rid of Amanda too, but Kenny had two failed dishes, and they failed spectacularly. He definitely deserved to go.
I do like how the one team put Alex in front of house. I am sure I am mistaken, but it always seems that most eliminations for Restaurant Wars have been due to a poorly run dining room, so even if they were the losing team, they'd have had a shot at eliminating the worst player. Oh well, here's hoping Alex is gone next week - he's a disaster. I have to say, if I lived near his restaurant, I'd never go. This is not the kind of exposure he needs, but he's prolly too delusional to realize it.
