That was amazing!
But... but! At some point Peter and El? they're gonna become immortal too, right? Right?!!?
i mean, don't get me wrong, that last paragraph was perfect in every letter.
But I NEED to know that they'll be together forever. (really forever.)
*sniffle*
That was amazingly written and i adored the realistic approaches of logic that Neal made and the emotional depth your characterization displayed.
Dammit! now i feel all melancholy.
*pouts*

Why, thank you!

If there is another story in this 'verse (and I really don't see it happening), it will not involve El or Peter becoming immortal - it's just not in my brain that way, I'm sorry to tell you.

Yeah, so I guess I'm more or less coherent now to comment :D I honestly stayed up 'til 4 am reading because it is beyond amazing \o/ Immortal Neal and not permanent character deaths - OMG! I love you :D

My heart aches for Neal when I think how lonely he must've been this whole time. And it was such a great journey, watching him battle his old instincts and finally rediscover love and the wonders of having a relationship, belonging to someone \o/ I just wish there was a way for the three of them to stay together forever ♥

I also love they way you managed to balance the insanely serious matters with a little bit of humor because, seriously, sometimes Neal's thoughts and silent comments were just cracking me up. I love the Swedish equivalent of Banzai, also - fock :D

Awww, what a perfect first post in the awesome h/c fest \o/ Thank you so much *hugs*

I'm stunned, it was beautiful and fantastically written. My heart aches for Neal, poor soul he had to wait a century to be happy again. Peter and El, their grief, and quite amazing way of coping with Neal dying, again and again.
And of course Mozzie! There are no better people to handle immortal Neal!

Thank you for fantastic story!

You already know I love this, but I'll say it again. It's beautifully written, sad, poignant, and heartwarming by turns, and, as kanarek says, laced with real humor.

I ached for poor Neal when his brother died chasing after him. There was great tension in the whole Nance situation. I love the desperate normality of El and Neal making tuna melts. I love Hughes sticking up for Neal, and Neal being genuinely touched by it. And I adore how both Peter and Neal immediately ask El and Moz if this plan "is like that time at the strip club." I laughed, despite the direness of the bigger picture situation.

Alas, if I keep listing all the great things about this story, I'll be re-writing the whole thing.

Brava!

I do try. :-) And you are very welcome. Thank *you* for the wonderful fic.

(I've been at this work-related "institute" since mid-afternoon Saturday. It's been good (and productive), but it's also tiring and my brain is pretty full. And I haven't been able to get my S3 DVDs yet. :( Still, I've been trying to keep up with as many of the new fic postings as I can, and I was excited to see what you had done with the rest of this story. And it was great!)

Alas, Peter and El are not immortal, that is not in the cards. You see, it is Neal's journey to learn that he can love again, that he can live his life and enjoy it, even as it stretches on (perhaps) into eternity.
