6 year and 1 year checks
Jamie and Owen had their yearly well checks today. Can't believe my boy is a whole year old.
Anyway, Jamie is 42.1 pounds, including her cast. I can't wait for that thing to come off. It's starting to stick, and she really wants to scratch her arm. She's 43.5 inches tall. I have no idea what percentile that puts her in, but I'm guessing fairly low. Everything else is normal and fine, except for, you know, the broken bone. Yay for no shots until she's 12!
Owen was 20.4 pounds and 29 inches tall, which puts him right between the lines of 10th and 25th percentiles for weight, and 25th for height. He started out so big, especially weight wise. It's kinda funny to watch my kids shrink to the bottom of the charts. Well, funny for the girls, I don't imagine Owen is going to like being the stubby boy, but hey, at least he's cute!
He got three shots, with another coming at 18 months. He's also fine and dandy. I can start trying to get him off the bottle (DONE! Man, that was easy.) and keep working on getting him to eat solid food. Good luck with that, the boy likes only solid carbs and bananas. I have this feeling that the first of cup milk I give him will be the start of his self-weaning, but I've been wrong before.
