An update before an update which is at least a bit interesting

Yesterday was awful and full of suck.

• Went outside to bring in the Bio-bins after the garbage trucks came and discovered that they had 2-inches of maggots swimming around in the bottom! OH BLRAGARG. So I took them back, dumped bleach inside each of them (oh god, the FIZZING) and then hosed them clean. I tell you, the smell was of death, poop and household cleaners. Thank GOD I have a strong stomach and reluctant gag-reflex.
  
• Was an hour early for my interview, and was told that it wasn't 'professional' for me to sit in the waiting room that long, so I was told to go outside for a half-hour or so.
• I ended up going for a walk and finding a neat park to wander around in. Unfortunately, the horseflies in the area must've fallen in love with my hair, because they kept dive-bombing my head every few minutes.
• I also chose very poor footwear for jaunting, since at that point my heels started to ache...and the bandaids weren't helping anymore. Uh oh.
• Went back to the place in one piece only to find out that they had bumped up my interview and brought in someone else 'because I was there early'. This annoyed my interviewer something fierce and as a result I felt that I had an icecube's chance in hell of getting the job.
• I had 3 hours to kill until I could go home, so I decided to walk to the Niagara Square mall... in the Evil Interview shoes. Bad idea. Bad BAD idea. What I thought would only be a 20-minute walk turned into a 50-ish minute one, and by the end of it my heels were peeling and bleeding and sore as hell.
• Got to the mall, went to the bathroom and took off my shoes.. only to discover that they were full of BLOOD. Good thing they were a dark brown, so it wasn't really all that visible. What WAS visible was the buttload of toilet-paper I shoved on the inside of those shoes to a) sopp up the blood and b) create some sort of barrier between heel and shoe.

I ended up going to Chapters and buying 4 craptacular-looking books for $10 and reading until it was time to meet up with Jeff.

On the up-side, I found out that I got the job!
On the down-side, I found out that it doesn't start until the 27th.
On the up-side, I might get to do stuff at Mellon's office for a week!
On the down-side, I'll have to spend all day Friday in Niagara Falls...just because I need to drop off some stuff and sign some papers and the only way to get home is to wait for Jeff to be done.
On the up-side, Wonderland tomorrow! I'm going to ride the HELL out of the Behemoth!
