Half of you have heard this already, but I think it's the funniest thing that's happened to me in the last week, so you all get to hear it again!
Philip assigned a really huge canvas with not half enough time, and I was and am quite behind on it (I'm even more behind now that my frame split and the electric staple gun has given up the ghost for the second time), so I went to speak to him. It went something like this:
Me: Hey, Philip. That canvas. It won't be done in time. Sorry.
Philip: That's ok, get as far as you can. If you just have mockups, that's fine.
Me: It's just, and I'd finish it this weekend you know but I have qual, so it's going to be a while.
Philip: Oh, well, of course you don't, you know, need to come in, I wouldn't expect you to, since it's your qual.
Me: Don't worry, the thought never even crossed my mind.
I left him looking confused over whether he should be insulted or not. But really. He should have known better. Qual is more important than you or your class, Philip.

Edited: GAME PEOPLE: Due to Cam and myself having a teeny little examination on Sunday, there will be NO GAME. I'm very sorry, regular service should resume next week, but it's That Time of the Year, and that's just how it is.
