Subbed vs. Dubbed AKA "Why I Hate the English Version"
I'm usually not a big fan of anime dubbed in English. Here's an example from Kyou Kara Maou. The English version doesn't just dub over with the translation. It changes the story. (Not to mention the voices are crap.)
Note: Cheri-sama is Wolfram's mother.
-----------------------------------------------------
English Dubbed Version:
Cheri-sama: You haven't change. You're the splitting image of me. All the men here must be lusting after you.
Wolfram: I'm not really into having men lust after me.
Cheri-sama: You mean boys these days aren't into that?
Wolfram: Well, I'm not.
-----------------------------------------------------
Japanese Subbed Version:
Cheri-sama: You still look just like me! I bet the men are all over you!
Wolfram: Mother, we met just this morning. And I am not pleased with being embraced in a place like this. (She hugged him in front of everyone.)
Cheri-sama: Are boys really like that?
Wolfram: Yes, they are like that.

Stupid English version trying to change Wolfram's character!
