Gogol Bordello is pretty much my favorite band, and I'm kind of in love with this music video.
I've been to a ton of weddings, and most of them were pretty boring. I think the most interesting wedding I've ever been to was a couple months ago. The bride was a family friend, but only my mother and I could make it to the wedding out of my family. Anyway, the groom's side of the family and all of his guest were Southern Baptists, and at the request of his mother the wedding reception was deemed alcohol free. Now this didn't sit well with the bride's side of the family/guests, most of which were Brazilians (my mother and I included). So, what my mother and a couple of her Brazilians friends did was head down to a bar that was a couple blocks from the mansion where the wedding was being held and get piss drunk before the wedding ceremony even started.
After I drove them all back, and after the ceremony (which went smoothly, even though there were 15 drunk Brazilians in the audience), and after the reception dinner, the bride's mother (who is also my Godmother) beckons me to follow her outside. She leads me to her car, pops the trunk, and voila! In an ice chest in her trunk, she has enough champagne to get everyone at the reception drunk. My Godmother and I sneak all of the bottles of champagne up to the reception in a couple of trips, and all of the Brazilians get so drunk that they all forget how to speak English.
Good times.
