Hola Amigos~

Turns out that a good night's sleep does wonder for my ability to cope with the world and makes me all enthusiastic about things. Who knew?

Of course, I've been in rather a fog the past two and half weeks. Bluesfest is the two week music festival in walking distance of downtown Ottawa, and I only missed one day. There was... a lot of music. Oh sweet lord, a lot. I think I managed to tweet the majority of my favourites, but guys there was a lot of sunshine. I didn't have any listening life altering discoveries like I did last year (oh Les Claypool), but I do have a few CDs on order (They never had what I wanted. It was like magic. I am obviously magic.) and am super duper pleased. Also, we made the important discovery that a friend's green hat makes the most effective frisbee I have ever encountered. This includes actual frisbees.

And it was my birthday! And we had Korean BBQ, which is such a treat and involves getting to serve at the table and drink beer and then go out for tequila at the bar. Well, that last part isn't quite as traditional, but my birthday, so whooo!

Alas, living far away, most of you who read this can not partake in my birthday shenanigans. Which were less shenaniganriffic due to your loss. So! As a special birthday present to me, how goes it? Are you well? Do you have a funny story? Were there imaginary shenanigans? Because I miss you, here is a brief snapshot of how my night went.

Rabbit: Friends!
Friends: Greetings! Some of us biked and are hot and then you fed us a lot of food!
Rabbit: I am going to sit over here with you. Look! A tequila shot with a glass of water! Bliss!
Hot Waitress: Indulgent smile
Friends: Hey, we like everyone at the table! Especially Rabbit! Let us also do shots, but not all of us will do tequila because some of us like Jaegar which Rabbit thinks is nasty.
Rabbit: More people! I will now go sit with them! Let us have conversation!
Friends: Conversation ensues!
Hot and Awesome Waitress: Still knows who is getting what, despite seat changes.
Friends: More conversation! And threats to make me sing karaoke.
Rabbit: The affection stage of my tipsyness has hit! I am giving you hugs!
Friends: She gets like this. Luckily, we don't seem to mind!
Rabbit: Time to go sit back over on the other side of the table so no one feels neglected!

It was good times.
