Our nation has its first minority president. Is this cause for celebration? Certainly, it is. However, we must not forget that he, by virtue of his election, has recieved a mandate from the people that he must now do his best to bring the country together and tackle the problems that face us.
No single man, however --not even a president-- will solve the world's problems.
It must be us.
Take up your cross. Tikkun olam. Right deeds, right actions, right works. Because the world still needs fixing.
