"Persepolis"

Susan was busy, Angie's blowing me off, and Jessica is elusive, so I went to go see "Persepolis" by myself last night at the Bijou. Much to my surprise, though the principle characters are Iranian, the movie was in French rather than Farsi. I guess that makes me a pretentious snob who takes himself too seriously, because this is another French film

Persepolis was originally a comicbook. it is amazing. it has a sequel, which is also very very good. there're also a collection of short stories (or two, i forget). they are good

It was originally four graphic novels. They were redistributed in the U.S., condensed into two volumes. The movie spans all four.

I need to find it, but I hear it's out of print...

I didn;t know there were four. well, maybe if the movie wins stuff, it'll get reporinted in its original format
