We saw wild guinea pigs today! Left Buenos Aires temporarily for a trip to northern Argentina. Flew to Iguazu, where our hotel is in the middle of a big national park and facing some enormous waterfalls. The other side of these falls is in Brazil, so we will likely cross over at some point to get the full experience. We did not get a car this time, so are doing more walking and various types of public transport. I am a bit worried about Dad and prolonged walking, so we will see what we are able to do around the park. We were able to skip part of a trail today by taking a train and I am trying to convince him to do some of the exploring by boat, but we will see. I picked up a couple of mini books on the local wildlife and am really looking forward to seeing what else we find. The park is a bit busy with it being a weekend, so fauna may be scarce, but flora can't run away (mwa ha ha ha!). There are some local foods we probably ate during dinner tonight, but since there was a buffet and no labels, I honestly can't say what they might have been. Oh, I need to get a picture of the door label for the little balcony area. It reminds guests to keep the door closed when not around to prevent insects and monkeys from entering. Monkeys?!?
