How could I forget?!
Other than getting ready to go to Scotland, I've had myself a fun couple of days!
On Tuesday a bunch of us trundled on down to Chapter to see Emma in 'Desdemona', which I think I can say is in the Top 3, best pieces of theatre I've ever seen. It's the best I've ever seen her perform, and the fact that she managed to pot a grape into a jug from about 5 feet away (unintentionally) during the performance, makes it an even more memorable one *laughs*.
Well done, Em. It's your best yet.
Yesterday...harrumpf. I had a very lazy yesterday. Both of the couples I live with were out and about for the afternoon, and what with ideas for the play buzzing in my head and a rediscovered fetish for hot chocolate surfacing, I decided to trundle (it's a fun word) over to Starbucks and set up shop for a while.
Twas luffly. Read the paper, drank a giant hot chocolate, complete with a MOUNTAIN of whipped cream, courtesy of the chatty Starbucks guy (whose name I didn't learn but I shall hence call him Starbacks Guy). I fell victim to his charms and was persuaded into buying not one, but two plates of bite-sized mini-treats...I felt rather ill and had to leave before I bought any more. But(!) I managed to get over the initial writer's block, of which there will be many more of course. Still...minor victory in my eyes :-)
