This post is a forum for the discussion of my list of premises. Please point out any previous LiveJournal discussions I have missed, or references you think helpful, so I can add them to my list.
It should be unnecessary to state that incivility will only be tolerated in my LiveJournal if it is warranted, amusing, and literate, where I remain the final judge of those three conditions.
Sir, that sounds like a challenge! *rubbing hands together in anticipation*
May God (if said Being exists and manifests His or Herself in scientifically verifiable ways) smite both the unjust violators of this dictum, and also the unjust judge who would wantonly disregard anything I say as not being true a priori simply because I said it, especially if said judge is learning about money from a bunch of wankers.
Well there mister, aren't we the presumptive one - assuming lightning as the method of smiting. . pah! Fire and brimstone, melting the rubber to your feet and then pounding it into oblivion.
Didn't you learn anything from Sodom and Gamorrah? Can we add a rule that a person has to read the OT before trying to make witicisms on smiting? =o) Lightning, gads, how cliche!
I think it's a bit big to put in front of all my posts. I've linked to it in my bio, so anyone adding me to their LJ friend list should see it, and everyone who already has me as an LJ friend will have seen it on their friends page. I also added it to my sidebar.
SMcC: What you see behind me is a painting by Magritte. It's called "The Treachery of Images." The inscription, in French, reads "This is not a pipe." SMcC: And, indeed, it's not a pipe. It's a painting of a pipe. SMcC: Well, actually, that's not right either. It's a drawing of a painting of a pipe, n'cest pas? SMcC: Sorry, wrong again. It's a printed copy of a drawing of a painting of a pipe. SMcC: Ten copies, actually. Or six, if you fold the page back. SMcC: Do you hear what I'm saying? SMcC: If you do, have your ears checked. This is a comic book. There's no sound.
