Simplified translation of Okada's ghost story on Kumagusu 090522
eeyore_kun asked me for a translation of Okada's ghost story on Kumagusu 090522, and I haven had the time to watch till recently.. It will be tough to do a word for word translation so i decided to do a brief review on his story.
Dun read this if you don't like ghost-related stuff.. yes Okada did tell a spine chilling real life encounter..
In Okada's words:
This is a story about the house i used to live in in my teens. During that time when I was already working, someone with a sixth sense, who is a friend of a friend, saw me on tv and said that Okada's in trouble. He kept saying that Okada's in trouble and wanted to meet me. So we met and went to my house together. When we are in the elevator, he couldn't stop saying "Uwahhhh.." all the way. Even before going into the house he was really trying very hard to be composed but he was sweating profusely at the same time. He looks as if he's going to throw up and I thought he's a liar that time. Finally he reached my unit but he refused to go into the hallway. There is something that caused him not to be able to step into my house. From there, he told me that there is something in my wardrobe that is causing this. He then asked me to get the 3rd piece of clothing in there and I went to retrieve it. When I got it, I realised that piece of clothing isn't mine. Since I entrusted the job of moving to my manager and staff, I did not know of that as they are the ones in charge of putting all the things into my house. On top of that, I often had clothing from shoots so even if that is not my clothing I am not surprised at all. i told him that wasn't mine and he explained that that thing had went through a lot before I even moved in. So I thought this is the end of it but that guy still cannot bring himself come in at all. He told me that there is still one more thing and I asked him to exorcise it for me. He says that the first door after entering the hallway, there is something on that front elevation. He had not opened the door being just at the hallway nor does he know the layout of the room, which happened to be the toilet. I told him that there was nothing there but a wall, but he was very sure that there was something there. And so I went to see.......
"I'm hooked!" *Okada pressed on the button accidently(?), scaring everyone out of their wits. Everyone threw in critisicim of the not so funny joke he pulled and he continued
...there was nothing there at all. After opening the toilet door, to my right was the WC but as for the front view after opening the door, there was nothing but a wall. I told him that but he said that there should be something, please go and take a look. When I went there, I realised that there was a circuit breaker on the wall, just at my face, a little lower than my height. I told him that there was a breaker and he says that there are a lot of girls dead in there. I thought there should not be any problem but in any case, it will be better to perform some exorcism since dead people are involved. He told me that those things are still lingering around, even though they are of no danger to me and asked me to open it. I was a little scared after hearing that there are dead people in there but still I went. After opening the door, I stepped into the toilet and opened the breaker. From the insides.....................................
a bunch of hair fell out.... inside the breaker, there are a lot of long hair which belong to girls...
