Way back in the day, damn I am getting old, I would look at my influences gear list and see that they would have two or three Moogs listed. I knew what these sounded like but never thought I would have one. The originals were extremely rare, expensive and poorly built. Seeing that there is a massive revival on analogue gear from the original companies, maybe we will get an new Oberheim, Moogs were something that I could get. When I decided I needed a new synth for bass, I did watch a ton of video, I got the Slim-Phatty. I picked this up for a number of reasons, price, sound, features. It fit perfectly on the new tracks I am working on. After a series of very stressful months at work, and a cancelled vacation, I picked up the Sub37. Every video I saw, the sound of this synth were amazing and over the top. I had to wait a couple of months to buy one, and even now you have to wait a few for the next run. This one did not disappoint at all. Oddly a few weeks after I received the Sub37, I won a Sub-Phatty, the synth the Sub37 is based upon. I thought that I really did not need this one, however I am noticing that it does have its own voice. So after so many years of doing music I finally have three Moogs.
