There and Back

All right, hear is another little weed theory that I came up with some friends a while back.

Have you ever noticed how going back somewhere takes less time than getting there?

I always wondered why this was since a couple amazing friends of mine pointed out to me when they were driving me home.

I never put much though into it, just thinking it was one of those wired things.

Then, with the mind-altering power of my favorite plant, I realized what was happening.

When you go somewhere, no matter how many times you have been there, you re-memorize how to get there as you go.

You take in all the land marks and other significant signs to know where you are.

It’s not something that you do consciously; it’s instinct.

Human beings where once pack animals. Traveling in groups for safety, food and companionship. We hand to remember what was around us to know how to get back to shelter or animals migrating pasterns.

Now, for why it seems shorter for us to back somewhere is because we already know the way back and spend less time paying attention to landmarks. We already know them, if only slightly, but that’s still enough.

So, we pay less attention on where we are going and more on other things, like talking and music.

So that’s it for now. I had a few more I came up with my boyfriend, but I have yet to remember what they are.

Till next time,

Toucher.
