My shift at work is 9 hours--from 7am to 4pm, but today I swear I only did about 30 minutes of actual work. In other words it was a SLLOOOWWW day. In order to keep myself from dying of boredom, I spent the rest of the 8 1/2 hours writing haiku! LOL Well, at least it kept my brain occupied. I wrote 6 all together and one was Queer as Folk inspired. Here they are. Feel the Zen.
#1
A single sunbeam
Touches the silent treadmill
The sleeping dust stirs
#2
Through the black branches
The hawk's golden eye gleams watching
The swallows bathe
#3
In the night I hear
The lonely question echo
Who? Who? Then it is gone.
#4
Empty inbox
The pointless arrow is frozen
No new messages
#5
Barren apple tree
Through the cold mist
The green bud appears
#6
His new Prada suit
Lies puddled on the hardwood
