Is it the weather . . .
Or is it just me? Lately, I have been absolutely jonesing for some heavy duty Brian/Justin angst. I don't know if this desire is inspired by the foggy wet gray skies that seem to be a permanent fixture here in the Pacific NW, or because I'm just some perverted girl who enjoys a little B/J emotional meltdown every once in a while! hee.
To satisfy my craving, I've been watching the last few episodes of S2. Talk about painful. I keep forgetting just how thorough a job they do of ripping Brian and Justin apart emotionally. I think one of the best sceens in this arc is when, after Brian has "introduced" Ethan to Justin at the diner, and Ethan has basically booted Justin out of his crappy apartment, Justin returns to the loft late at night, takes off his clothes, and lies down with Brian. This scene was just plain expertly executed. Of course, Gale Harold is a natural when it comes to body language. The look on Brian's face as he stares at Justin--standing in front of the bed, silently and pittifully asking to be admitted into the bed--is truly amazing. Words can't describe the emotions at play on his face. He's pissed, of course, but he's also hurt, vulnerable, sorry and scared.
Randy H. does a pretty wonderful job, himself, of expressing his guilt and desire--the utter battle of emotions raging inside him. Wow. Words fail me at the moment.
That said, I am on the hunt for some great angsty fic. Anyone have any recomendations? :)
