To get an undergrad program is about 4 years, yes?

3 or 4, yes. Depending on the program and if you want an Honour's Degree. Of course, how many courses you take per semester can either speed that up or slow that down too.

i hate to say that leaving sarnia was one of the best things i ever did...but it was...now in saying this...(and yes we haven't talked in years, but hey your friends with my brother so this justifys my replying in your LJ (which i found through Diems LOL) that people get comfortable with what is a known quantity, they don't like the unknown, it scares the bejeebers out of them...but if you never let go and just glide into the dark you'll never know what you could be. Are you ok with a LD relationship until you have obtained the dreams you want? OR...are their viable distant education options for this programme?
