section 8
tonight we played a show at the illustrious section 8 skatepark in hubbard, ohio. we made no money, played to a total of maybe 20 people (total, throughout the night), and managed to make tons of noise for almost 2 hours. here's the thing with why we didn't make any money:
section 8 skatepark demands 50 bucks for any show played there, no mater what happens. so even though we promoted the fuckin thing, since only 7 people paid to get in, we had to pay 15 bucks to the park. how the fuck do you have to pay money for your own fuckin show?? we didn't rent a hall or anything, so like, fuck that. oh well. chris paid 10 and kyle paid 5, so that broke us even.
but, hey, we had a fuckin blast. we were probably the most abnoxious band to ever play there. something you have to know about the reversatiles is that we:
1. don't practice nearly as much as we should, and
2. talk way too much between songs, and
3. fuck up songs and start over periodically, AND
4. sometimes run out of material and start our entire setlist over.
people were egging on insults and little kids were telling us to play some more. someone requested freebird for chrissake. all-in-all it was a good time. now i gotta buy kyle beer and come up with 10 bucks to pay chris back.
