After getting home from the transformation they put Maisie to bed so she could rest and get some sleep, before going over to their own room. Remus' whole body ached, and his body was still readjusting to the change, but he had to admit that it wasn't as bad as last month's or the one before that. His body was more or less completely healed from the wounds he had received after fighting Fenrir; the bite marks were red, the skin irritated after the change it had gone through the previous night and that morning, but nothing had reopened. Which was good, because he was starting to get tired of blood and bandages.
Tonks had insisted on staying in bed, so as his body stopped shaking after it finished the adjusting, he took a small nap without even being aware of how his eyes closed against what he wanted to do.
Now he was waking up, though, and he took small deep breath as his eyes fluttered open. His first instinct was to get up at once, not wanting to stay in bed for long because of how useless it made him feel to be bedridden, but at once he stopped his attempt to sit up when he felt her laying down next to him.
With a small smile, he turned to her and said very quietly; his voice still a bit hoarse from the transformation and somewhat groggy from sleep. "Hello, Dora..."
