Big Events
First, even though I did get to tell you in person yesterday, I want to again say:
Happy (now belated, but I saw that you were carrying your celebrations over into a second day) birthday, drinkingcocoa!
And then:
Happy birthday (this one only belated in my time zone), shyfoxling!
You are both awesome and giving and brilliant and just generally all-around made of win! I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to meet and talk with both of you over the past few months. :)
Other event... I got to experience my first earthquake today! LOL (Yeah, the West Coast people on my f-list may now commence with the rolling of their eyes. ;) ) It was definitely quite clearly felt here; given that I'm on the seventh floor of my building, there was some good sway happening. Pretty neat, actually! And like at least two other people on my f-list, I initially thought my dog scratching or licking herself was the reason for the bed moving. I have a suspicion that this might be a fairly common occurrence. XD
...I do assume my friends near the epicenter of the quake are all well? Most of you have checked in already, but I like to make sure...
Also, the various posts I've seen on my f-list about the earthquake today make me want to play a game... How many songs can you think of that have the word "shake" in the title or in a major, recognizable lyric??
