Life Happens
I've been productive! For two days in a row! \o/ Stuff I've done:
- paid rent and bills
- caught up on IJ/LJ comments and personal email
- took care of a number of school email things and...
- finally managed to schedule a date for my orals (April 21; mark your calendars because there will either be a huge celebration or a lot of drowning of woes in alcohol, chocolate, and pr0n)
- did laundry, including sheets and blankets
- did massive cleaning in my bedroom/kitchen/living room (god my dog sheds a lot)
- took down recyclables and got rid of a ton of trash/junk
- ordered groceries to be delivered
- got my fic moving again (barely)
Hmm, that list doesn't actually look too impressive. There were a lot of school emails to juggle, though...
I think I'm going to try to tackle my taxes tonight also. If not, I'll do them tomorrow. No forgetting about it repeatedly until April this year. ::eyeroll::
I still have two major errands that I need to run. My plan is to get out and deal with those tomorrow. I actually went out yesterday to take care of stuff, but I got all the way down to the other end of Center City and discovered that I didn't have something with me that I needed. Totally wasted (hour long) trip. I ran out of energy and motivation after that, so I just went home and passed out for a while. Bah.
This will to get things done needs to stick around for a while. I have a lot of work to do before my oral exam in April and I have a lot of fic I want to write. I'm determined that the two shall not be mutually exclusive pursuits this year.
Current fic goals:
- March daily_deviant (due March 14; in progress)
- hp_beholder (due April 1)
- May daily_deviant (due May 14)
- longish Snape/Sirius fic that's gnawing away at the back of my brain
Speaking of hp_beholder, if you've been waffling about signing up, you have 13 hours remaining to get over there and do it! It's going to be such an awesome fest. Seriously, have you seen the list of participants?!
In other fest news, wizard_love has started posting. Het lovers, some really good stuff has already gone up and it's not getting the love it deserves.
