I'm here at the DC Slash Retreat at venturous1's awesome place. We also have lesyeuxverts00, entrenous88, and la_dissonance (and what's up with all the Francophiles, yo?), with more arriving tomorrow!
It's like a daily_deviant meet-up here! :D
I was the earliest arrival, so venturous1 picked me up at the train station and we took a bit of a scenic drive and walked through the Congressional Cemetery. Eventually we picked up la_dissonance when she came in by bus, then went on to venturous1's place. lesyeuxvert00 and entrenous88 arrived not too long after us.
We were all pretty tired after traveling, I think, so we had a pretty mellow evening. There was making of dinner and drinking of wine and talking about any number of random things. Fun evening. I love the comfort of hanging out with fellow geeks! ::hugs geeks::
We all went to bed pretty early, but of course I was wide awake after three hours of sleep, with a headache. ::eyeroll:: So naturally I'm taking the opportunity to update LJ/IJ. ::even bigger eyeroll::
venturous1's house is fabulous, by the way. Roomy but homey, with her gorgeous artwork all over the place. It'll be a pleasure to spend the weekend here. :D
Can't wait to see more folks tomorrow! Picspam coming later, I imagine. ;)
