The Sectus Chronicles: Vol. 1
I was intending to update a bit more frequently, but I've been too busy! I'm not sure how much time I have right now, so this will likely just be a quick outline of events here. Even that will probably bore most of you to tears. ;)
This trip started to two days of traveling, on myriad forms of public transportation, all while lugging around... well, luggage. Imagine that.
Sunday:
- bus to train station in Philly
- train from Philly to Trenton, NJ
- trian from Trenton to NYC's Penn Station
- subway from Penn Station to twilightsorcery's part of town
Went out for very awesome pizza with twilightsorcery and ironroot, then got about four hours of sleep before getting up at the time that I'm usually going to bed to start the journey to the airport.
Monday:
- abortive subway trip that didn't get us at all where we were going ::snerk::
- taxi to JFK airport, upon giving up on incredibly slow subway trains
- plane from NYC to London
The flight to London went perfectly fine; no major obstacles getting checked in, flight was on time, etc. We had a brief adventure when trying to convince them to let us into their country. Read twilightsorcery's post about it here -- that sums it up pretty damn well!

Where we met up with ragdoll and a semi-conscious katesque, then crashed for the night.
Tuesday:
We managed to drag our asses out of bed bright and early in order to take advantage of the breakfast that's included in the cost of our room, which was really pretty awesome (but you all know how I am about food in general...). For the most part, the day consisted of hang out in our room, along with its_art, and generally being fannish and lazy. A little later in the day, alisanne got into town, and upon discovering that her hotel was literally right down the street from ours, I told her to get her ass on over. ;) The six of us went out for dinner -- Italian, yay. There were pictures taken, and they'll likely appear here once I've received copies. Stay tuned.
This afternoon might involve a trip to see the Tower of London. Tonight, my hair becomes green. And at some point in the middle, I REALLY need to find a place to do laundry...
