I...pay you...to leave your country?

Yeah. We had to pay NZ$25 in order to leave the country. I’ve never heard of that before. Seems very…strange to me.

We had a bit of a funny tonight. After arriving in our Sydney hotel (again), we dropped off our luggage in the room and went out to grab munchies. When we returned, we turned on the TV to find that it was kind of fuzzy. With neither of us being ones to let this go, Lucy started fiddling with the cables. The TV got fuzzier for a moment and then went blue. The co-ax cable wire was disconnected from the head. Oops. No matter how we fiddled, we couldn’t get it back in. So we called the front desk, and they sent up a guy immediately. We made jokes about how we had our junk food, so, as Americans, we need our TV with it! He said he’d probably have to get us a new room, and he did, asking if we would like him to take our luggage to the new room, as it was quite a walk.

We moved two rooms over. Hahahaha! And right above where we were last week! He said he left us gifts too-there was a small bag of chips on each bed! HAHAHA! That guy was pretty cool…and not just because he was able to put up with two crazy people who just wanted sugar and TV.
