TV, EVE, & Stuff
Last Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday our BSG groupie watched all the current Heroes episodes, and now I'm totally hooked. Yep. This summer's going to be crazy-go-nuts time. BSG ends annoyingly early (*sniff*), and then when Heroes cliffhangs (as I'm sure it will), there will be no additional visual heroin until probably September, and by then I'll be feverishly cramming for prelims. *sigh*
Speaking of which, soulgem and I were BSG obsessing over lunch last week when we realized that the Five probably can't resurrect. Which totally screws over our theories as to who might be some of the Five (people whom we think have "died"). Gah.

So stewardwildcat was here last night. We were going to maybe watch a movie and play some EVE, but we ended up talking for a long while and then EVE. Well, I went ratting and came across a Domination NPC pirate. Usually those guys are worth more than the random Angel pirates I blow up, which means they're often more difficult to blow up. I'd never heard of this particular one before, so I decided to give 'im a shot (no pun intended). I about panicked when I noticed that he had webbed me (webbers slow a ship down so it's easier to hit), but after some feverish projectile exchanges, I finally got the guy. Turns out he was worth a ton of money (656 000 ISK--most pirates I shoot are in the 6 000 to 50 000 range), so we thought that was pretty awesome. But when I got back to station, I discovered that one of the pieces of loot I'd taken from him was a micro-warpdrive, which is a massive afterburner. Some checking revealed that it was worth 3M ISK. Neato! I bought the skill for it and learned level one so we could try it out, and man, does it make my ships go! Whew! My lightest and fastest ship moves at ~700 m/s with normal afterburners. With my biggest, baddest ship, the micro-warpdrive lets me go ~1350 m/s. Wooo!!!
Turns out, that wasn't all, though. I went through some of my loot, checking prices, and found something else I'd pulled off the Domination ship. When I went to see how much it was worth, I discovered that I couldn't outright sell it (which means I couldn't figure out how much it's worth). So I asked some of the other people in my corp.
And that's when both our jaws promptly hit the floor.
The thing's worth 100+M ISK. o.O
Methinks I might be getting that Hurricane sooner rather than later. :D (That is, of course, assuming someone actually buys the dumb thing.)
