*sigh*

Ah, yes, the twice-yearly inane questions are back. The typical ones are variations of the following:

1. So, what are you going to do this summer? / Are you staying here this summer? / Are you going home this summer?

or

2. So, do you have/did you have any exams this week?

or

3. What are you going to do now that the semester's over?

*sigh*

I forget a lot of stuff, too. But still, you'd think after six years of working here all summer and five consecutive semesters of no classes, people would've figured this out by now. Guess not.

One time, I got fed up with it and, when Question 1 was asked, I replied with, "When you were working (the guy's retired), did you get the summers off?" Unfortunately, this led to an even worse set of questions/responses. I can't win.

'Course, at least once a week (usually more), I get asked when I'm graduating. I need to carry a copy of this comic around with me or something....

Had another caller this past week. He asked about the four planets that can be seen in the morning. Thankfully, someone else answered the phone, but I could tell that at least twice he asked if this "alignment" of the planets posed any threat to Earth.

In other news, Trogdor is doing a lot better! He eats a butt-load of crickets every other day, and he gets so excited about them, he doesn't know which ones to go after first! Hee hee! The divots in his head where muscles/fat should be are about half gone; they're finally starting to fill in. His backbone and hip bones are less prominent, and though I don't think he's eating greens yet, per se, he sure does like his strawberries! (His chin is almost perpetually red-stained.)

Also, the past couple days are the first times I've seen him with what I've deduced are his "happy colors." Up until now, he only lightened up from a sad, drab grey-brown when taking a bath. But the past two days, he's had his happy colors on all day and even after he's fallen asleep! Great signs he's feeling better!

Once I get some more pictures taken of him, I'll post them alongside the pictures I took when I first brought him home. The change is amazing.
