ASU ASU ASU
ORIENTATION WAS TODAY. Ahhh, haha it was truly a joke, but a fun experience at that. To my surprise, Hannah was there! So it was splendid to enjoy the morning with her and her lovely mother...she was my mom for the day too. :) Then it hit me...52,000 kids in one place. I will be bouncing off walls with excitement.
I think one of the very best things was to automatically walk in and notice there were 3 older LSP kids there as orientation leaders, then ran in Charlie, who is in my cohort at the end of the day! In a place so big, I feel just so comfortable.
I met a new friend! It was so much fun and this sounds so elementary, but he made the day worth it. Haha, he was in my little advisor group and we slaved away trying to put together a somewhat not so shitty schedule. It didn't really work out, but we had ourselves a good time. Haha then we ditched after lunch!
...but took a little adventure around campus instead. We had an hour to kill and we did such a good job. It was like a little tripod: Josh, Ali Miller!, and I. We were the stereotypical wide-eyed, uber excited freshman who got a hoot of buying drinks at the bookstore and making jokes about anything that came to mind. Damnit, I wish I had taken pictures. That would be a good thing to look at when GRADUATION for college comes around...weird!
We came back to whole sesh to get free parking and the COOL T-SHIRT, haha, then got the whole little group all riled up because, ya know, we were only 50 minutes late. We said we got lost? Haha, I dunno. Such a great feeling came out of today. We even ran into like 4 kids who worked in the MU and were like, these kids knows whats up (in reference to ditching) and gave us the whole skinny on what not to do, so it that was also a little highlight.
Overall, I'M STOKED. I'm stoked for a big school, I'm stoked for my 7:40 am MATH CLASS (sarcasm anyone?), I'm stoked to run through halls and be obnoxious, and most definitely, I'm SO stoked to just find my niche, little safe haven if you will, and RUN WITH IT. I'm ready to be a kid again and become the GOOD STUDENT i've always wanted to be.
p.s. i'm set-up to double major and minor! yahoo! atleast for now, lol i just can't decide to save my life for my major. how about a little global studies and non-profit organization leadership? eh? maybe a little politcal science? minor in spanish? yeahhhh i will figure it out soon enough. YAHOO FOR SPARKY
and i'm not studying for finals? this sucks.
