Yeah... About that...
I've been thinking.... Which is never a good thing. Anyway, what I was thinking about, as I lay in bed last night, attempting to sleep, was my post yesterday. I realized that there is, in fact, one stereotype that I completely and utterly conform to...
I'm a nerd. A HUGE one. (Which may well have been obvious, since I referenced "Hitchhiker's Guide") I love pretty much all things SciFi, I watch anime other than the "popular" titles, heck, I know the difference between manga and doujinshi... The fact that I even KNOW the word doujinshi is pretty strong evidence to that fact. But I'm not just a SciFi nerd... I research stuff... For FUN. I enjoy learning. A LOT. I'm always looking for new information, something I haven't heard or seen before...
In fact, yesterday I stumbled across a reference to the Kinsey scale... So I researched the CRAP outta it, and figured out I fall somewhere between a four and a five... More four, unfortunately. Also unfortunately, it led to a conversation about it with my mother, where she revealed she was probably a one or two... Ew. Really didn't want to think about my mother having sex with another woman. For that matter, I don't like acknowledging the fact that my parents have had sex more than once... And that one time I only acknowledge because I exist...
So anyway, disturbing revelations notwithstanding, it was a good day. Also thought about the fact that I stated I didn't want to live anywhere else... That may not be true. I'm something of a history buff (more proof of my nerd status), and living somewhere with a richer, more visible, history might quite a lot of fun... Like New Orleans, maybe... Actually, I've wanted to visit there for a while... Voodoo fascinates me. The most visible piece of history we have here is St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Norfolk, which has a cannonball embedded in one wall from the civil war, and a graveyard attached with headstones, and presumably graves as well, dating back to the 1600's... Which is pretty cool.
Guess that's all I have for now.
