I'm still standin'....

Here I am wasting time.....
well, Christmas went well enough, although I didn't decorate beyond parking the christmas cards across the mirror.... (I only took them down a few days ago...)
I've... not been well. I've been looking at work emails written a couple of months ago and I don't recognise the author. I feel better organised though. As the weather warms up and the mornings are lighter I always do. Spent too much on luxuries though... too many DVD/Blurays I want too see sometime and I'm still going to get round to it...

"Black Sails"... piracy in the days of Capt. Flint. Aired first on Amazon... not being broadcast TV there's more nudity (mainly female, no complaints) and bloodier violence. Seems good so far... one hour episodes and a whole first series Yohoho.

"Guardians of the Galaxy"... ho yes. very entertaing, pure fluff, Zoe Saldana looks good in green, Amy Pond is appropriately blue, thre are easter eggs everywhere and Rocket Raccoon is awesome. (I'm surprised Marvel haven't merchandised matches... 100 in two boxes branded "Fifty shards of Groot")

"Snuff Box"... damn strange and slightly surreal comedy... boobage, but discreet (not) from 2006

Saw "The Imitation Game" on Tuesday with m'lady... she warms me, she really does with her company.

The film has some good moment, some moving moments...Cumberbatch plays Alan Turing as Sherlock with Aspergers ... chronic, a guy like that would not get where he got...
He wouldn't sit and blab Ultra secret stuff to a copper
Coppers in those days didn't drive everywhere especially in a cape - coppers used bikes then.
And people being evacuated in 1939 would NOT be riding in standard class (1988) British Railways Mk1 1948 coaches. For F***s sake you idiots do you never look at newsreels to get a feel for what you should see? 1st and 3rd class separate compartments...
but no, its a steam train so its long ago.
Lost me right at the start and took a while getting me back. Oh, and Turing had a stash of Dexion...yes, THATS post war as well.

Bombe surprise....

Bought the live action Asterix et Obelix in the service of her majesty (mixture of Asterix in Britain and Asterix meets the Vikings)..
goot a real cheap price, too...because it turned out to be an original Belgian release - Francophones only, no subs. Still watched it, the effects are good - but I've bought the 2 disc French with English subs... one 2D the other 3D and it has 6 pairs of red/green glasses!

usually get home late (this here is why!) and watch Qi/Mock the Week in any case.

Got a stack acquired for Christmas, still to watch.
Been invited for Steak at Miller and Carters tomorrow and meeting college friends on Sunday...
I shall eat well over the next few days

I need to weigh myself.. I shudder to think what I weigh.
Eating from the fridge (need to defrost it) and then freezer
defosting some meat, but last night, Garlic Prawns (nice, salty) and fish (which fish I dunno) goujons like eating bloody cardboard.

I have to try and get myself together but I hope Im getting better... still forgetful...

Anyway celebrate with me... I had plaice and chips lunchtime and Harry threw in a gherkin for free. - The Corner Plaice Baldwins Lane Croxley Greem.

See it on Farcebook as Chish and Frips.

Ah well, lucky 13, try getting a wee bit work done, catch up with Fry on IPlayer (NOW box hallelujah)

God bless you all.
