Guess Who's Back in the USA?
That would be me!
I've been home for about 24 hours now, slept more than half of that time; gave away nearly a whole suitcase of presents; had a almost too-hot, hot shower; ate WONDERFUL homemade buttermilk pancakes with blueberries and real maple syrup (how much do I love my family?); and later spaghetti with great meatsauce (the meal I think I missed most); listened to my own music; rewound my (8-hour) video tape recording from the last month (still haven't viewed it, so don't you DARE spoil me on ANYTHING!); got the distressing news that 1) my rebate info for my memory cards had been accidentally thrown out when my family was vacuuming and dusting my room and hanging welcome home banners (there goes $50); oh, and also that my stupid-evil-meanie-moronic insurance company refuses to pay for two months of medication bought too close together, (THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD BY THE TIME I SHOULD HAVE RENEWED, IMBICLES!); and poked around lj this morning (and boy, am I out of the loop!) - that's about it.
Oh, and if you sense a little different vibe about this post - just let me tell you that extended, continuous contact with certain team members led me to hard liquor and cussing like a sailor this month - at least mentally. It's been seething inside for several weeks, and I still am carrying the vestiges of "DIE! YOU INANE IDIOT!" internally and it kinda seeps through sometimes.
So, who's updating me on the latest goings on?
