Veronica Mars - Previews and Opening Scene
So, I did it. The previews for this next episode had me so agog, I finally broke down and watched the opening scene.
This is something I have not done since ATttD. (Yes, I even waited for LitB.)
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I love this show!!!
Okay, now that that's off my chest.
The Fighting Fitzpatricks!!!!! It's a good thing I DIDN'T spend all weekend on that Venn diagram idea, of aligning the current plot threads, 'cause I have a feeling THAT little piece of info would force a total rewrite.
Other thoughts:
First, in an aside - What is UP with Duncan?
Veronica and Logan aren't QUITE up to their perfect level of banter. But it's quite close on the surface at least. "Must be an even-numbered day" Ahhhhhh. THIS is the way I like this pair.

Okay, so it was a little more than three months ago that WifebeaterWearing Fitzpatrick was wounded, stiched up, and sent to jail? Meaning that was right around the end of last season? Around, say, the time of a certain plot-integral KNIFE FIGHT?
I wonder if Curly Moran ever hung out at the River Stix? Do we know the name of the bar that he had been at?
So, my (non-existent) Venn diagram plot layout goes something like this:
KNOWN: Felix=PCHer, Cervando=PCHer, Cervando=PCHer at odds with Fighting Fitzpatricks (goes to reason that probably PCHers=Fitzpatrick enemies/rivals.)
As I recall, Cervando is in trouble specifically for, well, one could say "ratting" out a member(s?) of the Fitzpatricks. (You may all have realized this right away, but it took me a week or so to call the dead rat being a message to Cervando from someone.)
So, now the diagram links Griffith in two ways to the knife fight, and one degree of seperation from the bus crash. As far as I'm concerned, the bus crash AND knife fight are now both linked to the Fighting Fitzpatricks AND the PCHers.
This season plot threads are becoming Gordian in structure.
I wish I could figure out if we've seen that girl in the bar before.
Oh! and as for all the 09er plot lines, especially related to parents taking illicit means to interact with their children's lives - I think that Dr. Griffith could very easily prove to be the link there as well. I mean, rich, respected (for the most part) plastic surgeon? So you HONESTLY think that the majority of 09ers old and young aren't familar with every one of those in a hundred mile radius?
Well, that's my bit of squee and spec. We'll have to wait to see if I'm right.
