“Happy anniversary baby~” greeted a beaming Yunho with a box of chocolate chip cookies and a freshly brewed coffee in both hands welcomed Jaejoong when he opened his front door that morning.
Today marks their two years anniversary and it all begin with a simple meeting at their usual café for a shot of daily caffeine. They got to know each other as ‘Kim Jaejoong, final year student of Culinary Art (majoring in pastry)’ and ‘Jung Yunho, also a final year student of Business Management’ and what started as a friendly ‘hi - bye’ relationship, soon evolved into something more.. A 23 - years old guy who goes by the name Kim Jaejoong is a part time barista in Coffee Stop, a shop who patrons the nearby university. He was a final year student in Culinary Art (majoring in pastry) and because of his excessive passion for food and coffee; he took up a part time job at the shop. He loves to bake during weekend and when he’s on job, he loves seeing people’s various choice of drink and their personality.
On a wet Saturday morning, a hot handsome guy walks in the shop for a cup of a freshly brewed coffee or maybe some cake to go with it. The said guy shrugged the excess raindrop from his jacket and tapped his shoes at the welcome mat, not to dirty the shop with his wet shoeprint.
Jaejoong was on duty at that time and as usual, he would welcome the patrons warmly despite the raging storm outside. That day, there was a shortage of workers as many took the weekend off to be with family or dating. Jaejoong was left alone to handle the cashier and make the coffees. Well, who’s complaining though? Jaejoong brews the best coffee anyone can offer.
“Welcome~ what can I get you, sir?” asks Jaejoong cheerfully to the customer - well, Yunho to be exact.
Yunho, who is trying to shake off couples of raindrop from his arms didn’t look at Jaejoong yet and when he does, he feels like cat got his tongue. The person in front of him looks beautiful. Well, beautiful is an understatement. He looks ethereal. Devine to be exact.
The cashier raised an eyebrow but he still has the same warm smile gracing his beautiful pink lips.
“Uh.. Sir?”, Jaejoong asked as he looked at the person who stared at him without blinking and gaping slightly.
Jaejoong’s voice wakes Yunho out of his daydream and he immediately shut his mouth and maintains his composure before answering the barista cum cashier.
Laughing awkwardly, he reads the menu and when he finally found what he’s waiting for, he smiled at the cashier and said; “One Jamaican Brew please. Just 1 sugar”. Yunho like his coffee to be strong.
“That’s all, sir?”
“Yea-Yeah.. That’s all~”
Entering the order in the cash machine, Jaejoong smiled while saying the price for the coffee; “That’ll be $5 sir, your order will be ready soon~”
Yunho was once again mesmerized with the beauty in front of him and thank god he maintained his composure, he hand over the cash to Jaejoong. Handing the note to Jaejoong, their hands accidently brushed with each other. What’s weird, either of them retreated their hand.
Sparks flew and Jaejoong’s stomach doing one of those crazy summersaults and his face started to feel hot. He was blushing. Yunho on the other hand, did notice the faint crimson colour developing on the cashier’s face and he couldn’t help but grin slightly. Jaejoong, who seem to just wake up from a post-blush state, cleared his throat and retreated his hand and key in the cash register. Yunho smiled seeing Jaejoong’s cute, blushing act and his eyes wandered to where the nametag is. ‘Jaejoong’ reads the tag and Yunho smiled at Jaejoong. ‘A beautiful name, for a beautiful person.’
After handing back the change to Yunho (who smiled goofily), makes his way to the side of the bar to brew Yunho’s order. Thank god for the rain and it’s the weekend, not many customer are in the shop.
Jaejoong brewed the coffee to perfection and handed it to Yunho and said; “Thank you, come again~”
Yunho beamed and nodded his head and answered; “I’ll sure will~”

That is the start of their relationship. Yunho will visit the shop everyday hoping to find Jaejoong and after about a week of stalking observing, Yunho already know Jaejoong’s shifts and he then decided to talk to Jaejoong personally. Not as a customer. The first time they talked - as friends, many interesting facts Yunho got to know about Jaejoong, vice versa. Jaejoong is a final year Culinary Art student and even though his family is quite well off, he enjoys working there and knowing many good friends and also people. Jaejoong is the youngest of 9 siblings and he is the only son in the household. So, you can say he’s quite pampered. He decided to become independent ever since he enters university.
Jaejoong knows the fact that Yunho is the son of Jung Inc. a corporation who is quite famous around the area for all the charity they’ve done. Yunho has a younger sister who is 3 years younger and is currently attending the Paris Institute of Fashion.
Jaejoong grew fond of Yunho’s presence in the shop everyday and whenever he orders, Jaejoong make sure he served the best for Yunho. He still have the tingling butterflies in his stomach whenever Yunho is in the confinement and he will blush furiously just by looking at the said man. Yunho’s stare pierced through the deepest part of his soul everytime he caught him staring.
Jaejoong’s love for baking really attracts people. He once baked a couple of dozens chocolate chip cookies for his assignment and he gave out the cookies to his close friends and also the store owner. Because of the exquisite taste, the store owner fell in love at first bite. He immediately asks Jaejoong to bake some to be sold in the shop to accompany the coffees.
Jaejoong upon receiving the news his cookies will be sold in the shop, is very excited and esthetic. He will bake and bake without any whining or any complain. If he’s on his off day, he’ll baked the cookies and deliver it to the shop personally. Soon, his cookies became one of the main attractions to the shop (aside from the best coffee offered). Jaejoong has become the most valuable asset to the shop and his position is upgraded. (Well, he declines it nicely saying he’s comfortable handling the brewer and attending customers).
Coming to the shop everyday, Yunho, who fell in love at first sight with Jaejoong thinks it’s once in a lifetime chance to asks Jaejoong on a date one day after Jaejoong’s shift are over. Yunho has been questioning himself all week and all the possibilities of Jaejoong rejecting him. He figured out it’s worth a try and just brace his heart for the worst.
Confronting Jaejoong is the same as preparing for a business presentation and it scares him to wits! He’s afraid Jaejoong will be disgusted with him being gay and started to distance himself from him. The possibilities of him being rejected are endless. And he’s afraid to just think about it.
Bracing his racing heart, Yunho invited Jaejoong for a cup of coffee in the shop where Jaejoong work. Because that day is Jaejoong’s off day, he had to bake the cookies first before he can come to the shop to meet Yunho and also to deliver the cookies.
Yunho arrived early and he glanced at his watch - 4.50 p.m. 10 more minutes until their ‘date’. He took the seat beside the window incase Jaejoong walks in, he can spot the beauty. Yunho was glancing at the entrance and still no Jaejoong. Suddenly, a lightning strike the sky and droplets of rain started to fall. It was raining. Gradually turning harsh and heavy.
At 15 minutes past 5, when Yunho thinks Jaejoong will not show up, he sighed deeply and turns his eyes towards the counter. The store manager was talking to his hand phone while waving at the entrance. Yunho averted his eyes towards the entrance once more and to his expectation, Jaejoong walks in with two boxes of freshly baked chocolate cookies in hand. The store manager then welcomed him and they have a small talk behind the counter. Yunho who saw Jaejoong finally came, beamed happily and when the store manager points at his direction to Jaejoong, Jaejoong turns and smiled at the manager and makes his way to the table.
“H-hi Jaejoong~” Yunho stutters while looking at the very adorable looking Jaejoong in front of him now.
“Hi Yunho~” Jaejoong replied happily.
Yunho smiled and gestured Jaejoong to take a seat.
Jaejoong took off his scarf and take the seat in front of him. Their meeting turns out nice and Jaejoong offered to make them their coffee and he promised to make it extra special. Yunho laughed and agreed to it. Besides, Jaejoong’s coffee is divine!
Jaejoong came back with a tray of 2 freshly brewed coffee, 2 chocolate chip cookies, some sugar and creamer. Jaejoong likes his coffee sweet and creamy. Jaejoong commented that Jamaican Brew is bitter and how can Yunho stand the taste. Yunho laughed it off and answered he likes his coffee bitter and strong. It gives him the pure taste of coffee.
They talked about many things, mostly about their lives and their future plans. Yunho’s heart was beating against his ribcage because he’s still afraid Jaejoong would reject him. After finishing their coffee and the delicious cookies, it’s time to go back and Yunho thinks it’s the best time to propose to Jaejoong.
Yunho stands up first and he immediately makes his way to Jaejoong’s chair and Jaejoong’s eyes widen at Yunho’s gestures.
“Yun-Yunho.. What..?” Jaejoong was shocked at the sudden weird action from Yunho.
Yunho then kneel down in front of Jaejoong without taking his eyes off the man and he then extend his hand to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong was in a state of pure shock, didn’t know what to do but he extend his right hand nonetheless and with his left hand, he cover his mouth. He almost squeals and he needs to keep his voice down.
Yunho’s sincere eyes and warm hands really melt Jaejoong’s ice cold hands and heart. Jaejoong did feel something for Yunho but he’s afraid if he put his hope up, it’s going to be crushed. Losing a friend like Yunho can be very depressing and he don’t want that to happen.
With a deep breath, Yunho said to Jaejoong while looking straight into the big doe eyes and he prayed in his heart ‘I really hope Jae will accept me’ and voiced out his thought.
“Kim Jaejoong, will you be my boyfriend?” The bomb is finally out. And now the grueling part, waiting for Jaejoong’s answer.
Jaejoong gasped and flail while other customers clapped their hands and some girls even squeal seeing the scene. Jaejoong and Yunho were lost in their own world to be obvious about the noises.
Jaejoong immediately squeaked “YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!” and hooked his arm around Yunho’s neck while Yunho who thought Jaejoong will reject him, widens his eyes and he slung his arm around Jaejoong’s waist. The crowd cheers at the newly created couple.
Yunho cupped Jaejoong’s face and stared into his eyes while his thumb caresses his cheeks softly. Jaejoong face resembled a deep crimson shade and he loved seeing that. Jaejoong smiled while Yunho leaned in for a chaste kiss on those plump pink lips.
Jaejoong smiled in the kiss and he willingly open his mouth for Yunho and they had their little tongue battle. He gives up immediately and let Yunho do whatever he wants to his mouth. He nipped at Yunho’s bottom lips and, Yunho said “From now onwards, my coffee will be sweet~” in between kisses and both of them smiled into the kiss. Jaejoong snaked his arms around Yunho’s neck and Yunho’s hand tighten around Jaejoong’s waist. Crowd cheers louder seeing the erotic make out session in front of them.
Afterwards, both of them became the sweetest couple known throughout the whole area and thank god both families approved of their relationship. They moved in together I month after they officially became a couple and they both graduated university with a first class degree and Yunho was asked to take charge of the family’s company while Jaejoong has his own bakery just across the coffee shop where they met.

Today, Yunho wants to surprise his beloved after being away for about 2 weeks because of business trip in Japan. Jaejoong dearly miss Yunho while he was away but he must understand his work. But seeing Yunho in front of their house now startled him more. On the last phone call last night, Yunho didn’t mention he’ll be back this soon. Jaejoong thought he already forget their anniversary.
“Yunnie!!!”
Without thinking any further, Jaejoong pounced on Yunho and wraps his legs on his waist while smothering kisses in the latter’s face.
Yunho can’t help but returning the kiss Jaejoong planted on his lips.

He misses Yunho too much and he wants to have him but Yunho seem to reject him. but, before he could protest, Yunho (once again) kneel down and take Jaejoong’s hand in his own and with his right hand, he fishes a turquoise box from his pocket and smiled warmly at the now shocked Jaejoong.
“Kim Jaejoong, will you marry me?”
“YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Jaejoong screamed at the top of his lung and launch himself at Yunho. Coffee and cookies long forgotten.
