A-kon went well. What few pictures I took I was happy with (mostly because as a whole, fellow fans of the series kept telling me I was the best they'd seen in a while, which made me happy) and there was the CUTEST little girl that took quite a liking to me at the gathering. :3 New friend

Well, just keep in mind that SOMETHING is better than nothing, so it may be good to bite the bullet and get something that pays $12-13/hr just so you have some income while you hunt for something better.

You know, when I first moved out I was making the equivalent of about $12-13 and paying CA cost of living prices (I managed), so I'm sure you'll be okay for a while even if that's all you can get for right now.

I'll be crossing my fingers for a great job for you though. :>

Yeah, it's looking more like that's what I'm going to have to go for, especially since I don't really have much hands on experience. :/ Kinda stinks, but I know I'm a fast learner, so hopefully it won't be like that for long. It's not like it'll make living tight with that, but with all the build up from friends and professors, it's a little bit of a letdown. :P

Started searching and applying at Dice.com, some IT resume website thing our downstairs neighbor told me about. Though the forums on that site are effin racist and the older professionals are all like "you should quit IT. Best of Luck!" even to newbies.
