really Mtv? Really?
so did you hear about Mtv remaking Rocky Horror? Yea, I'm no huge Rocky fan or anything but I shiver to think of the casting on this one. lol.
I saved a conversation I had with a friend on the topic:
Chris: I'm mad at hollywood for even having the IDEA to remake Rocky Horror.
Chris: and changing the music
Rudy: i know
Rudy: wait they're changing the music?
Chris: "adding some new music" is what I heard
Rudy: hmmm
Rudy: that terrifies me
Rudy: the casting ideas sends shivers down my spine
Rudy: because it very well COULD be well done and be okay...
Rudy: and more of an homage
Rudy: but it's freakin Mtv studios
Rudy: so i have no faith
Chris: if it's not susan sarandon and barry bostwick and Tim Curry and filmed in the 70's, it's not gonna do it justice...dammit janet
Chris: I've lost faith in hollywood movies, the future lies in the less mainstream
Rudy: see, i'm one of those who watches film avidly
Rudy: like, i majored in it
Rudy: watched 3 movies a day for 2 years
Rudy: while i had access to a huge library
Rudy: i'm sort of, at peace with the fact that US hollywood industry is shameless
Rudy: and remakes are inevitable
Rudy: but it's so frustrating that it's goddam Mtv studios
Rudy: because given to teh right director, a remake would be possibly amazing
Rudy: besides, Repo! the genetic opera is coming, and that sort of serves as this generation's rocky-esque musical
Chris: maybe...but still...who would they cast?
Rudy: well i could give my suggestions for GOOD casting
Rudy: and also for BAD
Chris: go for it.
Rudy: like for BAD:
frank- ashton kutcher
janet- lindsey lohan/jessica alba
brad- zac efron
magenta- julia stiles
riff raff- justin timberlake
eddie- jack black
Columbia- ellen page

Rudy: now for how i'd cast it if a good director had it
Chris: zac efron....*barf*
Rudy: you just KNOW they're gonna include him
Rudy: *dies*
Chris: haha to Justin Timberlake as riff raff...
Chris: a pretty good bad cast i must say.
Rudy: now for good
Chris: that cast would make this movie truly horrible and it could actually concievably happen.
Chris: scary

Rudy: so my good cast...
Rudy: i'm skewing it younger
Rudy: b/c that's what i guess mtv will do
Rudy: so bear with me
Rudy: (that's why i didn't like plug in necessarily the MOST capable actors)

Frank: emile hirsch
janet: zooey deschanel

magenta: elisha cuthbert

Chris: I can totally see bill murray as the criminolgist.
Rudy: and for rocky could be whoever has a "body" i guess? Channing Tatum?

Chris: I've never seen Lee Pace in anything, but I totally get a Brad vibe.
Chris: same with Emile Hirsch. (I'm just going based on apperance for now, cause I don't know their work)
Chris: zooey deschanel would work great, plus she's a proven singer
