before I'd laugh at the thought.
but now the storm has come and she is raining
down on everyone at once, it seems, at once.
so now i think of the wheres, and if-evers.
and the rain gets stronger and darker
the wind howls and like you told me it would,
just moments before the sound reached here,
the rain has taken over the skies.
