Its time for.... thats right you guessed it.... DIVIDED TOPICS!!! (gosh I'm a dork)
P-day Weekend
So I told John some bogus story about me babysitting so I could go up to St. Mikes for the weekend. Now when I planned this trip I didn't know it was P-day (which basically means the last party day before finals study time). Now it turns out that the weekend wasn't all that amazing, since I was sick and the weather sucked, but the real reason I went up was to see my friends that I've missed since I've been gone. I accomplished that mission, and therefore not one thing about the weekend could have been better.
Work
So I'm currently looking into two jobs. One would have me working at a local marina doing some work with boats, cleanup, and working at the gas docks. The second choice is working on board the Mount Washington (the ginormous boat that goes around the lake during the summer) doing I have no idea what. I'm leaning towards the marina because I know what I'll be doing, plus it isn't too far from the cottage. I'm gonna pick up an application tomorrow and also let the guys at Mill Street know that next Friday will be my last day. I figure if I go a week or two without work it isn't a huge problem because my last rent payment is already in :-).
Tonight
Tonight started out fairly uneventful with me just sitting around watching the Red Sox win. Then I found out that Kate was gonna stop by with Cameron so I could bring him home (actually I volunteered to do this to save her time and so I could chill with him for a bit). However in typical Ray and Cameron car ride form, we didn't just go back to his house. First we made the trip to 7-11 (if you know the deep throaty hungry way to say it, you may do so now.... I know Joanna wants to :-D) and picked up some drinkage. Then I decided I wanted ice cream, and since the McDonalds in Alton is open until midnight, it seemed logical that we head down there. After we got food we drove back to Wolfecity and sat on the docks and talked about random things, basically catching up on things. After that we continued to talk in the bank parking lot, now in the car (since Cam was cold and it seemed like a good place to sit).
The Chase
While sitting in the parking lot my brilliance was displayed once more as I decided it would be hilarious to have my lights off, and then as a car drove by to flash my high beams. This did not appeal to one person, who passed through a second time to see if it would happen again, and when it did proceeded to pull into the upper parking lot to circle around behind me. I saw this and quickly exited up the hill and to a backroad where we sat for a minute or so with the car off. When I believed it to be safe I turned the car on and crawled down the road with parking lights on. As I did this the guy drove by the road and saw us.... and the chase continued!
We circled around Hucks and Devylders and headed back on the main road towards Cam's, and it looked like we were in the clear. Just before we hit the top of the hill, I looked out the side mirror and saw the guy make the turn and following us. I quickly made the turn to Cam's road, pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. After ten minutes we figured it was safe for me to go, and I headed home (making sure to go through town and see if he was still there, which he wasn't). All in all it was a fun filled evening, and it made me look forward to this summer when spontaneous stupidity and fun becomes more of a regular event.
