hello out there?
went to the dentist last week. it was my first appointment at this dentist, but i've gone a few times with thrasher in the past few months since he's been getting a world of cleaning done to his mouth. i really like them, especially our hygienist. not to mention they're 2 blocks from our house! i like getting my teeth cleaned. i guess that's because i've always had good luck with keeping my mouth healthy, and it feels good to get complimented about taking care of yourself. they did x-rays since it'd been quite a few years since i've had 'em (can't even remember when really). everything appears to be a-ok.
i also made an appointment with a doctor-since it's been more than a few years since i've had a check up and i've had insurance for a year now. might as well put it to use. keeping my fingers crossed that i'll have the same results in that department too. i definitely have hypochondriac tendencies...hopefully i'll like the doctor too-she came recommended by a friend.
i re-organized my class schedule for the fall and think it's set now. i'm not super excited about it, of course, but there's always a little bit of curiosity towards the beginning of the semester. i'm taking chemistry ('eh), nutrition, history (ugh), and sign language II. i haven't taken a full load in several semesters now-since while i was taking both semesters of a&p i wanted to have more time to focus on that course so i only took 2 classes at a time-so i'll probably be busy...we don't have to buy a book for sign language as we're using the same one from last semester and my friend joni from a&p is taking the same history class with the same teacher right now and is going to give me her book, atlas, etc. i'll only be needing to purchase books for 2 classes instead of 4! that'll save on a little money.
our friends built a mini ramp in their back yard so wednesdays have become skate night. all the boys skate and drink beer while the ladies hang out and drink beer (or mojitos)! hah. it's pretty cool, and more and more people seem to come each week. they seem totally stoked about it, but it seems to me that it'd get old after a while-having a bunch of people around your house so often...
thursday we're hitting up our favorite sushi joint, maido, with another couple. i fucking love that place and crave it constantly. i just can't wait.
we're hoping to get to columbus or chicago to see the supersuckers soon too. can't get enough of them either.
and we're hoping to move before school starts, but that's not looking so likely. we haven't been looking too hardcore in the first place, and there just doesn't seem to be much out there right now. i've grown to hate this cute little apartment that was so perfect for me when i first moved here. it's just not made for 2 and we're getting crowded in. i want actual bedrooms (2 of them at least), a quiet place for studying, a comfortable living room, a nice sized kitchen, a porch/deck/patio, and in a good location all for a decent price and in great shape! is that too much to ask?? i wish we could just buy a house.
